With almost 20 years of experience in digital marketing, retail strategy, and early stage growth consulting, Justin H. Schoen is a Managing Partner at Emerge Growth Strategies. He began his marketing and business strategy career with men’s apparel retailer, G&L Clothing, in Des Moines, Iowa where he started the company’s ecommerce operations and grew it into an industry leading web presence.
In 2010 he founded eComegy, an ecommerce consulting firm. eComegy provided Justin the opportunity to work alongside startup companies and established businesses looking to grow into the online space. He worked to develop online sales and distribution models, in addition to implementing email marketing campaigns, organic search engine optimization, search engine marketing, and other digital outreach strategies. In 2016 Justin partnered with Ari Paget to form Emerge Growth Strategies, a full service marketing consultancy focused on start-ups and high grown companies. He serves as a consultant and mentor to numerous small businesses, entrepreneurs, and students, and regularly speaks to groups about online marketing strategy.
Justin is active in a number of volunteer and community endeavors including his work as Past Board Chair of Central Iowa Shelter and Services, Past-President of the Greater Des Moines Music Coalition (producer of the 80/35 music festival), member of the Drake University Entrepreneurial Advisory Board, and President of the Board of Trustees at Tifereth Israel Synagogue. In 2008 he was honored as one of Des Moines Business Record’s “Forty Under 40” and in 2016 was a finalist for the “Juice YP of the Year” award. Justin graduated with a BBA in Marketing from Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa.
